Instead of stockpiling many types and sizes of cut sleeves, more and more companies are turning to purchasing a sleeve cutter. When such a machine is not adequately automated, someone still needs to stay nearby to supervise the process of cutting. Solutions are now available that practically eliminate human intervention through a far-reaching degree of automation. Linkage to the Management Information System is among the possibilities there.

Haak Machinebouw's solution is the automatic and fully automatic sleeve cutter. The numbers and cut-off lengths are programmed in advance. The mother sleeve is brought to the cutting position in the machine manually in the automatic version and mechanically in the fully automatic version. In the automatic version, the operator only has to come back to reinsert a mother sleeve and in the fully automatic version only when the magazine of mother sleeves is empty and to change the sleeve adapter. This can basically be done by someone who has other work near the machine.
